Zodiac Girl
Growing up I knew 4 things about the “Zodiac”
1. I’m a Virgo child
2. My dad is a Leo, strangely apt because he did have an almost lionlike quality about him, big impressive king in his own right, devoted to his children.
3. My mum is an Aquarius.
4. Whenever my mum was about to do something crazy AF the words “I’m an Aquarius, we’re either genius’ or mad.” Would come out.
Yep so hence why I passively love the whole “Zodiac thing” to me its just good fun. It does have a ring of truth in there though. I don’t necessarily believe in the Zodiacs. “Don’t date a Libra they are cheaters, or don’t date a Cancer, they’re emotionally needy.”
I do however believe in personality types. The Zodiacs seem to be no more than categorisation of personality types. Like Myers Briggs. The whole “dependant on when you are born” thing looks a bit wrong, because I can be born in London on the 22nd September and be a Virgo (my actual birthday) but if I was born in Paris or Sydney it might be different. That bit I don’t really get.
However I do enjoy a bit of passive zodiac scrolling. The latest one was a full “Natal” chart, which shows me everything I will be in terms of Zodiac.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Its 24 pages but there were some bits I agreed with in terms of my personality, however some I didn’t. They have a certain amount of luck which means that if you are the type to read astrology, there are very few people who believe in “space racism” and therefore you don’t have a wide area to cast your net. Especially with “Virgos” I’m a Virgo, and as I’m born at the start of the academic year, I have always been labelled bright, self contained (because I was a clear 11 months older and therefore more socially aware than the youngest person in my class, my cousin) and analytical (in a previous job I worked as an analyst) All these things came from being born at the start of the British academic year and having months of advantage over my peers. When you are 5 years old and being 11 months older than someone who is 4 there is a massive developmental difference. You are talking about being 25% older than they are. So I consider my “Virgo” traits as circumstantial. Correlation, not causation.
Everything in moderation, including moderation I say, so I read the chart, agreed with the complimentary stuff and then righteously protested at the negative stuff.
