Reverse racism

Something interesting has happened to me in the past 6 months, the fall of black supremist thoughts (I no longer entertain the “Oh the motherland” tripe) and the fall of Creole supremist thoughts.

My entire life I grew up believing Creoles were the best, and that Native tribes of Sierra Leone were “ruining the country” and if the British had given us Freetown as a separate country we’d have created a Singapore style haven. This, my sweet dears is a lie.

Creoles are not supernaturally talented. We are a mix of people, we hark culturally to the Yoruba Nigerians, and we have no country to call home. That is all.

The natives of Sierra Leone are resentful and jealous of us to be sure, but we have done things to deserve it. When we were in power we weren’t inclusive and made them feel our supremist tendencies, now when we realised we are in the minority and that native people have talent and education too, we are mad. We act like white people being checked on white privilege. We always had proximity to whiteness privilege, with our European names and our British cultural tendencies. Creoles were the white people of Sierra Leone.

Now I move on to myself.

I have been reading historical documents recently pertaining to black history and the history of slavery.

There is an abundance of knowledge on abolitionism meanwhile not so much on those who propagated slavery, because the cultural norm now is slavery is bad and so anyone who participates in the barbarous practice is bad, so we just won’t tell people that these particular historical figures participated in slavery because that will automatically make them bad. But something doesn’t last over 200 years without several thousand people propping it up.

The most hilarious example was a historical article I read about Jefferson Davis the only Confederate president and how he actually loved black people! He “only” enslaved 15 people and when “uncle Bob” an old black man with rheumatism had his house burned down by those “wicked unionists” he wept and continually asked after Uncle Bob’s welfare. How his slaves would run to him and how many occasions of his slaves being loyal to him and sparing/defending his life. These are the same people he thought of with the mental age of a 5-year-old. That is how he justified slavery, that black people weren’t able to handle freedom, and it would be harmful to them. But he was “courteous” to them and when one would bow to his master, he’d bow back. So? He may not have beaten his slaves (he actually set up black courts to determine black punishments, with black judges and “police officers” but he enabled others to hold slaves and they sure as hell beat, raped and mutilated their slaves. Yet I spent 16 pages reading about how he was a good dude???

 I have always maintained that history is in the margins and that the slave trade couldn’t continue without white supremacy. Nor could it have happened without black people. We always forget the original slaves where the Indigenous Americans and their slavery was just as cruel as ours. There was just as much rape (maybe more, their women were prized) and White Americans were successful in ethnically cleansing essentially the entirety of America, the Indigenous American land is 2% of America, in 1400 it would have been 100%. Ditto the Canadians, Aussies and the New Zealanders. They wiped out an entire continent with killing, raping and disease. When Africa isn’t full of white people. Africa is a continent filled with black people. The “trail of tears” Does that sound like a happy title to you??? That’s a historical event of ethnic cleansing involving Indigenous Americans. Their slavery was legal for much longer than ours. They had to work in mines, we had to work in fields. There were just more of us (because a lot of them died from disease that was why black people were enslaved in the first place, the Indigenous Americans kept dropping dead from the inhumane conditions and the diseases white people gave them.)  We travelled on boats in horrendous conditions to get to our slavery. That’s why ours is more famous, you could have been minding your business, and either become a prisoner of war (which your neighbours deliberately started to enslave you) or you could be straight up kidnapped or someone who was in debt to the chief, and you would be clapped in irons, transported hundreds of miles from your home, to the coast, to be branded with DY (Duke of York) or RAC (Royal African Company) and then carted like chattel to the Americas for 4 months of horrendous sea voyage and God forbid there’s a storm, they’ll throw you overboard into the Atlantic to drown. And then when you get to land you’ll be beaten and raped regularly and given commands in a language you don’t understand and the punishment for disobedience is more beating, more raping, more mutilation. Its so easy to get cold on the details and forget the horror, the heavy weight of the chains, the “buck breaking” or ritual humiliation of husbands and fathers. The trauma of being separated from your children, spouses, parents, siblings. The dehumanisation.

But what is also abundantly clear, is that human beings are not better than those 200 years ago. Given 1 half a chance you can bet your bottom dollar that black people would do the same thing to white people. We’d call it justice. We’d call it “revenge for the ancestors” or “reparations” White people made up the most BS excuses known to man to dehumanise black people and Indigenous Americans. So we’ll use the same, or make up new ones. The Nazis’ used the most ridiculous excuses known to man to say Jews weren’t human, to put them in “work camps” or death camps and steal their things, they used the hair of Jews to stuff into furniture or make socks… all to sell that Jews weren’t really human that the Nazi’s were the superior race. We’ll just do the same. We’ll know in our hearts that Karen has a family just like ours, a mother and a father and a husband that love her, kids to come home to and we’ll kidnap her from Tennessee and make her walk across all the states to Washington State, then take her via the Pacific Ocean to in chains to Abuja where we’ll scream at her in Igbo or Twi, Mende or Swahili that black people are the superior race and as an ethnic minority in this world she should know her place. The men will use her body for their wicked sexual fetishes, because “white women are pure” and we’ll send her husband to go and fetch water because Ewan Murphy is a white person and “Rednecks” were built to work in the sun… that’s why their necks are red.  We’ll send her kids to climb trees and fetch bananas because the Victorians sent their own children up chimneys and into factories so why is it that they shouldn’t be sent 15ft up a banana tree? We’ll teach our sons and daughters to fear the “white demons” who “sheep shag” whenever they’re lonely. We’ll send her teenage sons to the front line whenever Ghana and Nigeria want to fight because white people are expendable. We’ll tell our daughters to fear the Picts, a tribe from Eastern Scotland who painted themselves blue and the Celts who sacrificed humans and worshipped trees and had huge penis’. We’ll teach them about the Waelstang (dead body pole) which white people would display their enemies after a battle. We’ll tell them about the “recent sectarian violence in Bosnia” and do news reports about “European” leaders on trial for corruption (Silvio Berlusconi , Donald J Trump and Nicolas Sarkozy)  We’ll teach them that they would display their women naked in public for their men’s sexual pleasure (paintings, statues and Playboy.) They invented pornography, because their men are sexually deviant and want to watch others having sex. We’ll tell them white women are promiscuous and believe in “hook up culture”  We’ll tell all decent black children to fear white people because they “mutilate children” (gender affirming care.) And if a white “boy” falls for a beautiful black woman, we’ll hang him from the nearest palm tree for looking at her disrespectfully, after all, Black women carry the Eve gene and are the purest of all races. Not before we’ve burned down any reference to the Anglo American hegemony, and taught little white children about feudalism, serfdom and when they were slaves in Ireland not even to mention the Irish potato famine and other “white on white” atrocities. And that is the reason we’re doing this. Because they used to enslave themselves. And that is why the white person’s natural place is a slave. Because otherwise they start world wars in order to find a new master to serve, whether its Britain, America, France, Spain or Russia. Their pale skin and hair will be evidence of their “evolutionary inferiority” in a “post global warming world” where dark skin is an advantage. Or maybe we’ll blame them for climate change and that will be the justification for enslaving white people, as "penance” for changing the planet, they can toil in the hottest part of it.

It sounds ridiculous, now but nothing is new under the sun. Empires rise and fall and people find all sorts of ridiculous reasons to be cruel to each other. It would surprise me not one bit if this happened in the next 200-400 years. We’ll make up new slurs, we’ll bring back eunuchs because white men are prolific rapists and cannot be kept around pure black women and the whole madness will start again. Then 200-400 years from then we’ll have abolitionists named Kema and Chidima who say “white people are people, they’re not savages. Despite what the Belgian Chief Leopold II did.”

“White people aren’t savages, despite WW1 and WW2, despite Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”

“Despite what the Catholic church did to those children.”

“Despite. Despite. Despite.”

“Let’s look to our highest selves, lets consult the ancestors and remember that time when a white person was loyal to his black master, shouldn’t the good little white “boy” get his freedom? We can give them freedom if we don’t give them suffrage, because they voted for Brexit and the Nazis whenever you give them the right to vote. You can give white people freedom if you don’t give them the right to carry guns because they are violent by nature and will shoot up schools.”

 Then we’ll do a few hundred years of economic slavery, and once a year we’ll run BandAid Afrobeats for the “Vitamin D starved children in Europe” who get “seasonal depression” because they are away from the sun and that is why we must enslave them, because by bringing them to Africa we’re saving them from seasonal depression and Vitamin D deficiency. By bringing them closer to the equator they’re closer to God. We will have balls and fundraisers for the “old white people dying of cold in Bolton” because their savage governments told them to chose between heating and eating. Because white people don’t respect their elders, they have no fear of meeting the ancestors in the afterlife.

I don’t think the races will ever truly learn to live in peace. There’s too much money and pride wrapped up in division.  People are just people, and until we evolve into a ubermensch super species, I cannot rule out the return of the transatlantic slavery. However  believe when the black people do it we’ll do it deliberately. Because lets be clear, there was no reasonable reason for slavery. White people knew we were humans, they knew we weren’t different to them, but they committed atrocities anyway, they defied science and God (whichever they served) and twisted both to justify this madness. We’ll just do the same. We’ll ignore the last 100 years of progress with the races just like they’d ignored over 1,000 years of everyone minding their business.

White people are the only people ever to say that black and indigenous people are sub human or animals but rape their women relentlessly. Isn’t that bestiality? Black people aren’t however known for that. Africans are known for cannibalism because that was the only crime the ancient Romans had that would justify ethnic cleansing or colonialism. Name an African tribe that is a cannibalistic tribe? There aren’t many, but Europeans used to eat the bodies of slaves, and use their teeth for dentures (despite saying we weren’t humans? Who puts animal teeth in their mouths???)

The lesson here is humans are humans and humans are savages and if you use the right narrative, we can paint white people as savages too and justify anything. History is in the hands of the victors and I guarantee that this is how the “trans Pacific slave trade” justification will go.

Let us pray we spend the next 1,000 years healing divisions and learning each other’s humanity. Because when black people do the “slavery thing” it will be crueller because we know what its like to be oppressed, and no one does cruelty better than the formerly oppressed people out for generational revenge…
