Law of Attraction…be careful what you wish for…
I want to talk about the Law of Attraction because everyone is. I want to state that I am a practising Christian and I believe in God. So whenever I say God, please feel free to think of “the universe”
Now having said that, the law of attraction is real.
Truly I believe it. I’ve seen it. I’m one of those people who “Manifested” her (ex) husband.
So now I need to tell you why you need to be careful what you wish for.
God gives you EXACTLY what you wish for. So if you wish for a red pen, you will get a red pen. But if you wanted that pen to work for you and you didn’t wish for ink, then that’s too bad. You wished for a red pen. You didn’t say you wanted ink too or it would have been provided.
I fell into this trap. I wanted very specific things, characteristics and I thought, if I got the things I wanted and everything else was average, it would be wonderful. But I didn’t wish for the non-essentials to be average. I wished only for the things I wanted. And I got them and all those things I thought were “Non-essential” actually were essential and I needed to have wished for ink in my pen.
That’s why the next part I need to talk to you about is so essential. For the law of attraction to work you need to focus not on “Looking right” but “Being right.” You need to work on yourself.
Everyone says this and it has become its own brand of toxic, but its so essential to say. You need to work on yourself. Divorce taught me that. (we’ll get to my sins later) Don’t focus on the six pack or the skinny thick. Focus on yourself. Focus on becoming the best person you can be. Focus on that, and good things will come to you.
Sit down and regularly imagine what the most powerful version of yourself will look like. I’ll talk about myself. The most powerful version of me is a wife and a mother. She is empowered, she is kind and gentle and she knows that there is power in being kind and gentle. She is present for all those who love her and there is an immense amount of love in her heart. She keeps herself well, because she takes time for herself, she’s not one of those “sacrifice everything for my kids” women whose happiness is solely dependent on the status of their children. (these women had good intentions) She provides a stable loving home that supports her husband’s ability to shine as well as those of her children. That is the most powerful version of me. My most powerful version is someone who empowers other people. I make it not just for myself, but for the love of all those around me. I heal myself from all my past trauma so I don’t bleed on my loved ones. That is what I focus on and every day, even if it is something small, I try and do something towards that girl. She even has a name. Her name is Beatrice.
The man I will marry, the career options I take, they all come from a place of in 5 years time, I want my life to be that of Beatrice.
If you want to take shortcuts, you will get shortcutted. You can’t get what you haven’t given.
When it comes to money. Its all about confidence. You need to be confident, and what builds confidence? Working on yourself. I cannot stress this enough, please don’t skip that step and then come for me about your “manifestations” you earned that. Go deal with it.
The most important thing about Manifestation and the Law of attraction is that you are wholly and solely in charge of your own life. Own your decisions. Be intentional. Work out what triggers you and try and heal from it. If you aren’t healing from it, you are choosing everyday to let it hurt you. I cannot stress that enough either. You create your own reality by the decisions you make everyday. So choose wisely and be careful what you wish for.
