How does that haterade taste bro?
That was a quote from Big bang theory, its always funnier when you explain the jokes you see.
Typically I do not believe in haters.
Someone who is “hating on you from afar” I don’t believe in it. I do however believe in idleness. People don’t just hate for no reason. Its either envy or idleness. Pick one.
Envy makes people destroy people who they know are better than them at something, they can’t have that person’s success in that field, (relationships, quantum physics, running) and therefore they feel the need to tear down what better men have built.
Idleness however is more indiscriminate. Envy is targeted, idleness is a free for all. Basically, idleness is when people just throw mud at a wall, every wall they see and hope some of it will stick. Sometimes it does and they provoke people to a fight because they are bored. When they get genuine shit to do (married, new job, children) they quickly try and duck out of this madness.
I believe that quite deeply. Why? I grew up in the church, so I learnt to discern envy from idleness. My dad’s predecessor hated him because he was gentle and kind. That was envy. She feared being usurped. His senior church steward hated everyone because he was gay and had deep self-loathing. That was idleness. He threw hate wherever he went (it was tinged with envy, make no mistake, what often makes a target attractive as a target is envy)
I have however encountered a lot of black content these last few days and on Thursday I met a black man, he told me conspiracy theories. I saw him again today. So here is the crux of my argument.
Black people, are sore losers.
We believe in all sorts of conspiracy theories and victim mindset about the “evil white people” and oppressors because we believe there needs to be a greater, mysterious hidden truth to keep us down, a truth that means that we are stronger than white people, better than white people and smarter than white people.
I’m here to debunk your nonsense. All of the above is 100% codswallop.
The truth is that race controls 2% of our DNA, which pertains to our skin colour and other physical features. Doesn’t make me smarter because I’m black. The whole context of the equality argument is that if you opened up a black person and you opened up a white person their organs would work exactly the same, the things they value, (life, love the pursuit of happiness) are all the same. So we are actually being sore losers by believing in this crazy conspiracy theories to keep us down because “secretly, we are better”
Wrong, by believing in that crap we are denying the truth that is directly in front of us. I will share this truth with you.
“We are fine just as we are, we are equal, we are different, but we are whole just as we are.”
Sounds Woo woo, but we are so downtrodden we always have to prove we are better. Why? Why can’t we accept that we are equal and that teaching young black kids that the white man is evil is setting back race relations and is also an insidious form of hate when we are living in a white country? Why would you want your kids to grow up hating their neighbours or feeling superior to them? Both aren’t great experiences if you are the neighbours and they’d done nothing to deserve this madness.
If white people are in fact so evil, why are you not on the next “boat” to Africa to see how your fellow black man treats you? Between colourism and tribalism you will literally sprint back across the Atlantic ocean back to England. Jackass.
Let go of the hate, there are people who have been wronged in our lifetime, George Floyd, Treyvon Martin, Child X for example. The crimes against them scream for justice…For change, for more empathy and love and peace.
“White people are the enemy who oppress us” is never the answer, I don’t care what the question is.
Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Listen to the good doctor, people.
Grace and courage.
