Fiction- Gods and Godesses

Been looking at too much Youtube recently. My shorts have gone through to myths and legends, which I love. So I decided to write a few of my own. They are a mix of actual Gods ones I made up, people and things. Game of thrones and all sorts of crap Good luck, enjoy and I hope you have fun.

Creation story.

Amun Ra- the God of the sun, rode his fiery chariot across the deep. He rode and rode and rode around in the nothingness. His chariot was powered by the deep. All of a sudden. The deep materialised into a being. Nyx, goddess of night. Surrounded him and attempted to rob him of his fire. Before she could strike him down, she looked into his eyes and fell in love. they married instantly with Nyx vowing forever to go where Amun Ra went. To be his shadow which is why all things, dead or alive, if they are in the light of the sun, will cast a shadow. That is Nyx following her husband. Amun Ra vowed to treasure her every moment of his life and lead her to adventures truly unknown. On the wedding night they consummated the union and had a child that shifts its sex from day to day. It was called Earth. So the new parents cradled their child in their hands every day, and that is why we have day and night. In the day, Earth’s father, Amun Ra cuddles and disciplines his child. That is why we have the sun, sometimes nurturing our crops and fields, other times damaging our skin, setting fires to the land and drying up rivers. When earth behaves, Amun Ra is a gentle, loving father. When Earth disobeys the laws of Maat, Amun Ra is only one part of a terrible vengeance.  During the night, Nyx holds her child gently in her hands. Nyx has a sister, Serena Luna often called Luna, goddess of the moon who watches over her sisters child in union with her sister. Moulding the tides and watching over her own children, whom she had with Chaos, these we call, stars, black holes and other planets.

There are 9 planets. Earth is the only one created by Amun Ra and Nyx. There is the planet for the dwarfs, the planet for the giants, the planet for the Gods, the planet for the demons, the planet for the angels, the lost planet of truth, beauty, health and riches, called Gloria. Planet of decadence and enjoyment called Ngondo, then the planet of knowledge and power called Athena, the final planet is the planet of the dead, governed by the 3 Sage gods, Anubis, Hel, and Hades. All of Earth’s troubles have been centred around the quest to meet all the other planets, their cousins.

The fate of the moon.

Serena Luna was a follower of Amun Ra, she admired his strength and teachings, but she did not love him, the way her sister Nyx did. But she reflected his light and respected him as a friend. That is when she met Chaos, theirs was the second ever marriage. They fell in love instantly, and she was soon pregnant, shortly before her sister, and she gave birth to billions of babies, these are called stars, every night, she comes to see her sister and her child, gently berates or encourages Earth, and allows Earth to play with her cousins, the stars, which is where we get the phrase “the stars have come out to play.” She, as a good aunt, orbits the earth to ensure that it is always well taken care of, long after his father Amun Ra, has gone to bed, Serena Luna makes sure that there is a reflection of him, to make Earth feel safe, because Earth is afraid of its mother, Nyx. Where there is darkness, Earth’s uncle Chaos, resides, so the Moon, reflects the sun’s light to keep her sister’s child safe from her husband and her sister.

The original sin.

Amun Ra and Nyx ruled Earth as king and queen. But there was no creation on the planet. So Nyx had earth Christened, to be raised from the deep. Each planet would bring gifts.

Earth’s father, Amun Ra, cut a lock of hair from his head and gave it to the baby, this is fire. Earth must hold it gently, he said. Or it would be burned to ashes.

Earth’s aunt Serena Luna gave the earth the sea, and the tides which she would control. She created the god Poseidon to watch over the sea, with her husband Chaos, and had him fostered by Nyx and Amun Ra to live on earth, and to be his equal, but not controlled by it.

Maat the eternal goddess of truth, from the planet Gloria, gave the Earth “Beauty,” and created the mountains, the plains and the sky.

The giants gave the world buildings, to give them shelter, and to tower over them, like they do.

The Dwarves gave the Earth “Work” to save them from idleness,

The Gods of the planet “Ngondo,” sent an envoy to the Earth, the God Dionysus, the God of Wine, pleasure and enjoyment.

The Gods from the planet Athena gave the planet twins, Odin and Minerva, Odin came with 2 ravens, “Thought” and “Mind” Minerva, came with wisdom, but also military knowledge and law.

The demons gave the world 2 chests of precious stones from their planet, Manic, and Mania.

The Angels gave the world “Tranquillity to rule over the land, and to protect them from both Manic and Mania.

The Gods of death, gave the Earth a tablet of stone, with a number that no one knows. That number represents the length of time that Earth has before the Gods of Death will return to take Earth. No one knows the number, not the units of time. All we know is that Anubis, Hel and Hades…are coming.

But what did the Earth’s mother give them?

Nyx gave them “Sin”, for she had committed adultery with Chaos, her sister’s husband. And sin spread through the land, taking on different forms to avoid detection, Idleness, Sloth, Avarice, Lust, Greed, Wrath, and Pride.

The angels, horrified by what had happened, sent “Faith” as a weapon that Earth could use against Sin.

Balder the brave, horrified that Chaos could do this, and could spread these troubles to other planets fought Chaos, Minerva in her abundant knowledge conspired with the gods of the planet Ngondo, for hedonism was a weakness of Chaos and got Chaos drunk on sweet wine, so when the battle came Chaos was not surefooted and Balder was able to knock him out. Maat bid Balder not to kill him, for he had an important role to play in the Ragnarök but to bind him with ropes of Law, Peace, Consistency, Wisdom and Justice which would keep him from moving until the Ragnarök. Balder blessed Minerva with a crown of olive leaves and declared her “Keeper of the Peace” She would watch over Chaos until the Ragnarok.

The creation of Man.

Earth, is a God. Earth is a Goddess, Earth is an explorer. Everyday Earth gave much mischief to its parents. Earth went exploring all the planets on its own.

First went to the planet of the Gods, and realising it was out of its depth, went home.

Then he went to the planets of enjoyment, and of knowledge, death and fornicated on both with minor lords, mixing the seed, and bringing back “plants” because they can both bring pleasure, knowledge and death, depending on which one you use and who their true father is.

Then he went to the planet of the Dwarves. One particular strapping dwarf, called Dubrovnik, was particularly fond of Earth and promised to give them children. Which Earth agreed to, because she liked Dubrovnik but could not bring a dwarf back with her or he would die but she had also made the same promise to the king of the Giants, Stone. So they both conceived with her many children, called Beasts. Because their father isn’t from Earth, they can’t communicate on Earth, only with ones from the same species, but not across species lines and certainly not with Man. It is forbidden, or they will all die. Which is why we have great beasts, and small beasts because some of them are fathered by Stone, and some are fathered by Dubrovnik

Then finally, Man. Man was born of a union between Earth, Angels and Demons. Earth went to the Angels first, pledged to be wed to an angel called Michael. Michael was delighted.

Because Angels and Demons live on neighbouring planets, it is the custom that if there is an Angelic wedding ceremony, that it is officiated by a Demon, and if there ever could be a demonic wedding ceremony, an Angel would officiate, but Demons don’t believe in marriage, so this is impossible.

Michael, was a wonderful husband to Earth, he was King of the lower region of the Angel Planet, the one closest to earth, and had often sent presents, such as “Hope,” “Fidelity” and “Constance” to help the afflicted Earth when her mother and uncle afflicted “Sin” on her. As a result, Earth was in love and pledged and eternal union. Michael was also gracious and loving to Earths previous children “Plants” and “Beasts”

But the lord Demon who officiated the ceremony was only a minor Lord from the Mania part of the Demon planet, he was called “Fornication” and he did precisely that. He claimed “first night” with Earth, raping and ravaging her. He produced 4 children with her, 1 full Demon, 1 Vampire, 1 witch and 1 human. Michael tried to bless the children with “Good” and raise them with virtue, but because they were from the planet of the Demons on their father’s side and that planet’s God was Chaos, they immediately sought out their cousin “sin” and have been chasing it ever since. Which is why man is often corrected by the angels but is always chasing sin. Man fears his siblings, witches, Vampires and Demons, who live amongst them peaceably, but also regularly fornicating with Chaos, to bring about things like “War” “Pestilence” and “Famine.” These are children of Man. In the same way sons and daughters are.

The first thunderbolt.

The Earth was getting dry, everyday Amun Ra would cuddle his child, riding on his fiery chariot across the universe, so he asked his friend Balder the Brave, what to do.

“Let her be nourished by the waters of her own rivers” Balder said.

“How?” Amun Ra said.

“Maat, we should ask Maat” Balder said.

Maat, is the goddess of truth and justice, and she rules over all in the planet of the Gods. She judged all, living and dead souls by her laws, and by weighing their still beating hearts on her scales against her feather. It is then she will send them to the planet most appropriate for them. If their soul intends to commit evil. Then she sends them to the deepest part of the planet of the dead. She sends them to the goddess Hel. In Hell.

So Balder the Brave, went to Maat, about this problem.

She said, “Give me 30 days and 30 nights to think on this equitably.” She said.

“Thank you” said Balder

Balder knew Maat for her justice, but not for her mercy, he worried she may send Poseidon to rule over earth, to keep it from drying out. Poseidon, had always been a jealous God, he loved the sea, but he loved conquest just as much, and so he was always trying to expand his holdings by flooding the land and killing the people of Earth if they did not pay his sufficient tribute.

So Balder would pay tribute to Maat during the 30 days. Praying for mercy.

He would send her poems everyday. Praising her beauty, her equity, her wisdom.

He would put those poems to music and create the first songs, praising her. He would then get the people of Earth to join in his tribute. He created musical instruments and put Dionysus the God from Ngondo in charge of them.

He would walk the earth as a simple farmer and everywhere he trod, rosebushes would spring in place of his footsteps, he’d take those roses and display them at Maat’s feet, entreating her to mercy, for he knew well that she had the power to crush Earth, as it hadn’t been made by her.

For she had created all the other planets, and kept them spinning in order. She had removed a lock of her hair and created all the Gods on the planet of the Gods by mixing it with her tears. And she would be the final judge of when the universe could be swallowed by the 3 sage gods of death, Anubis, Hel, and Hades.

So Balder continued to praise and worship the Goddess, and she continued to love it. Soon all the Gods became jealous of the praise and worship that Balder was lavishing on Maat.

Balder feared a war. So he went back to Earth and told the people there of the virtues of each of the Gods, and beseeched them to worship them.  He dressed their followers in magnificent robes and built the first temples to each God so that man would see these Gods in their splendour. All the Gods were pleased with the human offerings but began to compete with one another as to who had the biggest following, and would send terrible punishments if they were displeased.

30 days and 30 nights passed, and Maat had not come to a decision. And asked for 10 more days, Balder agreed, and so continued his praise, worship, offerings and devotion to her.

At the end of the 40 days, Maat came to a decision. Before she could say what it was, Balder said to her.

“Lady of the sky, divine creator of all planets, and their inhabitants. It has been an honour to serve and worship you these past 40 days. It has been the joy of my life to be with you everyday. I pray you permit me to do so every day, by serving as your husband.” He then went down to Earth on one knee, and extracted the jewels of the earth and put it on a ring. This was the first engagement ring. Diamonds, sapphires, rubies, Peridot, Aquamarine, emeralds, Opals. All shone brightly and beautifully on this ring. Maat accepted and declared the marriage to take place 7 days from that date. She brought down a feast from the Gods for every living thing on the nine planets.

Balder was also the first to get down on one knee and propose to his future bride. Earth’s men saw the success of this and did the same, and dug up diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and all the gems of the earth to ask for the woman’s hand in marriage. They would then feast if she said yes.

The wedding was a splendid affair and Maat brought the 9 planets into alignment to witness the love between her and Balder the Brave. She wore a dress of finest silk with Balder’s beloved roses in her hair and had noble children from all 9 planets run ahead of her to tell Balder she was coming. Balder chose Amun Ra to stand with him and be his best man and angels, demons, living, dead, witches, humans, Gods, vampires, giants and dwarves all called truce that day.

The wedding was officiated by Dionysus, as marriage is meant to be enjoyed and the gods of death promised that when Ragnarök came that the new couple would only be parted for a moment by death, only to be reunited on the other side. This is where we get the phrase, “Till death us do part.” Balder, took one of the rings of Saturn, or Nidavellir the planet of the dwarves and put it on Maat’s  finger. This became the first wedding ring. The ring was made of ice, to bind man and wife together against the world.

The marriage was soon consummated, and Maat became pregnant with good things to bless the earth. Her first daughter Hathor, came to be a guide to the worlds women. Blessing them with fertility, marriage and good fortune. She brought them love, beauty, pleasure and dancing, from her father and good sense and emotional intelligence from her mother.

The next child Tlaloc, blessed them with rain. His name means “He who loves to make things sprout” Maat put him in charge of male fertility, to ensure that both men and women were fertile enough to populate the earth. He nurtures, cares and pursues greatness.

The 3rd child, another girl, Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, would follow her brother everywhere ensuring that crops came to maturity.

the 4th child, a boy. Was Thor, god of lightning, when he was a child, Amun Ra went to the planet of the dwarves and sold a lock of his hair, which was made of fire, to purchase one of their finest hammers. Mjolnir. He gave it to the baby, who cherished it and took it with him everywhere. He also went to the planet of the giants and did the same, bartering his hair for a weapon this time it was a spear of lightning. But when he gave the giant’s spear to the baby, it was to heavy for the child to carry, so Thor threw it to Earth, and created the first Thunder and lightning. The spear then returned to its new baby master. Delighted, the baby kept throwing it down to Earth for the sounds it makes and therefore that is how we get thunder and lightning.

The final child, Sekhmet, “She, who is powerful” came with wrath, she became the Goddess of war to stand up for Earth, whenever the Giants, or Dwarves or Demons would come from their planets to conquer Earth. Beloved of Amun Ra, she fights his enemies, and brings healing to those who fight in his name. To bless her, Amun Ra gave her a bow and arrow that could shoot fire, and a sword called Ice, which he melted himself, to give her the ability to fight whatever the weather. Her mother instilled in her a sense of justice and peace, so that wars would not be started or fought without true cause.

3 Hells.

Hel, a jealous Goddess, hated that Demeter was so fertile, compared to her, surrounded by two other men, Hades and Anubis, but because Maat bid them be silent until they had reason to take a person to the planet of the dead, she had no one to lover her. So she broke her sacred laws of silence and conspired with Hades, to take Demeter to the deepest part of the planet of the dead, Hell. Demeter was to be kidnapped from Earth and brought to Hell, when Sekhmet discovered her sister was missing, she rode a Griffin, half lion, half eagle, down to Hell to retrieve her sister. Hell, before Sekhmet was a barren place, desolate. A void without Gods. However, Sekhmet’s fury was something to behold. Sekhmet set fire to everything in sight and cursed the fire to burn eternally. Thus, the people of Hell went from suffering from the guilt and shame of their sins in the nothingness to having burned in the fires of Hell as well. But Sekhmet did not find her sister in Hell. She found her in Purgatory, the land of Hades, because Anubis, the god of the good dead had refused entry to Demeter, saying she did not belong there. Hades, was in charge of Purgatory, a place of prayer where people could pray and do good works on other planets to be allowed into Anubis’ land of the good dead, where there was food and water and they would occasionally be allowed to visit loved ones until those loved ones came over to the other side. Hell, was the place for the deepest most sinful people who could not pray their way out of their sins, the murderers, rapists and adulterers.

Sekhmet took all the subjects of Purgatory hostage, until Hades begged her for mercy, for he had fallen in love with the beautiful Demeter and begged her marry him. Sekhmet refused, for she would not have her sister live with the dead, there was no food because no crops could grow. So Hades promised to fight Hel with Sekhmet and get her sister released, if once a year the beautiful Demeter would bless him with her presence, if only briefly, to bless the crops in Purgatory so that the dead could eat, and have enough sustenance to pray to go to the Anubis’ land called Rest. Sekhmet said, if her sister would agree to these terms, then she would abide by them.

The next day they set off to find Hel and Demeter. Betrayed by Hades, Hel had abandoned her home and run off into the deep, Sekhmet had beseeched Amun Ra to borrow his fiery chariot, and Thor to borrow his thunderbolt. She had begged Minerva for wisdom and Maat to have a just end to her cause. She begged her father Balder for goodness and mercy, and went about her task, Raising Hell to ashes, she became the first conqueror of death. She found Hel and Demeter in the deep, and with Hades fought valiantly pledging if Hel could best her in a fight, that she could have her as a companion and release her sister. But the lioness goddess was fierce and lionesses roar. When Sekhmet roared in her battle cry, all of Anubis’ people in the land of Rest answered the call, they fought for the living, Demeter to be released. Outmanned as all her followers in Hell had been set fire to, Hel conceded, and Hades propositioned Demeter with the request that she bring fertility to his crops once a year, and she acquiesced, she would bless crops in Rest, for Anubis had fought for her to be sent back to the living, and in purgatory out of mercy, in the hope that those with sustenance, could pray and do good works to get themselves out of purgatory and into Rest. Hell however would forever burn because Sekhmet had cursed it so, so all souls who were sent there would burn for all eternity, for they had hidden Demeter from her sister.

To reward Hades, all souls who fought for just causes would be sent to Rest, or as warriors called it Valhalla, and all souls who fought for evil would be sent straight to Hell, lessening Hades’ burden.

Last days.

Because Earth was not created by Maat, it has often believed itself outside of her laws. This is not the case. All creatures on Earth are subject to the laws of Maat. And will be judged accordingly. When Earth was named, it was given a tablet of stone, by the Gods of Death, Anubis, Hel and Hades. The Tablet has a number on it. That is the length of time that Earth has before the Gods of Death come to take it and all its inhabitants.

The laws of Maat have specified what needs to happen and when in the destruction of a planet.

First Amun Ra, furious at the sins of his child will beat down on his beloved Earth increasingly hard, as an attempt to discipline his child one more time into following the laws of Maat and avoid such a terrible punishment that Maat will bring down.

Next, because Poseidon is beloved of Maat, the ice will melt from Amun Ra’s punishments and the seas will rise, giving Poseidon increased power to raid cities and demand tribute.

Then Minerva, will look upon the people with mercy, give them knowledge as how to avoid this fate, but they will not listen to her. They will continue to destroy the Earth and disobey Maat.

Sekhmet will ride on battle after battle due to scarce resources. She will send the majority of people to Hell for their greed.

The population, having ballooned enormously on the generosity of Hathor, Tlaloc and Demeter, will turn in on itself, taking them for granted, ignoring biodiversity and worshipping false gods of “fast food” Demeter, will call on Hades to destroy all the worshipers of fast food, as well as worshipers of drugs, alcohol and fornication.

Chaos will walk the Earth. In the Ragnarök, Hel will free Chaos, bound since his battle with Balder at the dawn of time after the original sin. He will uncloak his children sin and they will walk nakedly and boldly amongst the people, convincing them that sin is good and becoming agents of Hel.

Chaos will kill Minerva, she will fight him for centuries, preaching truth and peace, he will seriously would her, but man never thought he’d kill her, for she is beloved of Maat. Maat will always come to rescue Minerva for her goodness towards the people of Earth since the dawn of time. To kill Minerva would be the last damning of Mankind, for she has the power to save the earth with applicable science.

Then Death will come all at once. Amun Ra roar at his child  and create a supernova then a black hole when he turns his back on his child for which only his wife Nyx can fill. She will cover the world in darkness. This is a signal for Maat to take all the planets at once, and judge them against her feather of Truth. If the planets are lighter than that Feather, Maat will expand Rest and give all men, giants, angels, demons, dwarves and Gods, Rest. If the Feather lighter than the sins of the planets, then all will suffer in Hell, where Sekhmet has set fire to the place and all men, giants, angels, demons, dwarves and Gods will burn in Hell.

Dwarves vs Giants

Man has always been lazy. That has been due to sin. Man had always been idle. Also due to sin.

The race of Giants were an odd bunch. Neither pure good, nor pure evil, they lived instead close to their cousins in the land of enjoyment. Ngondo. Except they lived purely on adrenaline. They lived for thrill. They were conquerors but not builders. They were adventurers and explorers but not rulers. They, like the dwarves, could only be killed by murder and birth was very rare due to their nature. So a limited population lived on their planet for centuries, eternal.

They had been cursed by Maat to die on any planet that was not their own, after an attempted conquest of Gloria, the planet of the Gods. So what did they do? They did the only thing they could do. They hatched plans to set up a colony of giants on the planet of the dead. It was to be named Valhalla, a place for the glorious dead, in Anubis’ kingdom of Rest.

Anubis, the jackal headed god of the dead and his kingdom was the first place you entered when you entered the planet of the dead. Once your soul had been judged poorly by Maat and were going to Hell, Anubis would devour your body to ensure you could not return to the land of the living. Those in his kingdom Rest, were protected by him. He would shield their bodies until they reunited with the blessed loved ones. They were permitted to visit loved ones on their home planets, and lived in peace. Those in Purgatory, land of Hades, were given a number, this number was the number of prayers, penitence and good works they needed to do for souls from other planets, before Anubis came to check on them. If they had not completed the required amount of good works before Anubis came to visit them…they would be devoured by him. If they had completed their task, they would be allowed into Rest.

Therefore, the task of going to conquer a planet guarded by a Jackal was a futile one. The giants were sentient, but not intelligent. So their plan to colonise Rest? Mass slaughter of their priests. Giant priests worshiped the Horse God, Dothraki, which they believed to be the animal manifestation of Balder, and the dragon God, Glass, which they believed to be the animal manifestation of Maat. Even though Maat was a cat headed Goddess.

The temples of the dragons had been built by Dwarf slaves. Who had been taken as tribute by the giants in the 7 wars. Dwarves had always been master craftsmen. And master sorcerers, but their labour was cursed. When the last dwarf slave died, the great dragon of the high temple of the dragon would come alive and destroy the planet of the giants.

The giants were unaware of this particular curse. But they were aware that murder was against the laws of Maat. Justice, however was not. The king of the Giants, Stone, of the Mountain tribe thought they could get around this by ordering their slave dwarves to murder their priests. Because priests were holy men and women and would automatically go to Rest. Dwarves, who did not follow the religion of the giants and hated their masters automatically obeyed. But were then condemned to Hell, to live and burn eternally with Hel, the desolate Goddess. These newly murdered priests would be armed with dwarf-made weapons at their funeral pyres would go forth and conquer Rest.

But alas, the giants forgot about Maat. The feather of truth that weighs all souls. Maat sensed the priests deception, and saw their swords and sent them instead to Purgatory rather than Rest to repent their wickedness. However, their dwarf murderers were sent straight to Hell.

This created a time lag. Because the priests were in Purgatory and not Rest, they could not colonise Rest. Which meant all battles to establish Valhalla were futile. Yet the giants fought anyway, completely unknowing that their priests weren’t in Rest to send re-enforcements.

Anubis, when vexed was a terrible predator. He is omniscient, but not omnipresent. Which succinctly put, means he was aware of all the sinful giants fighting him, but unable to eat all of them at the same time. Nor could he call on Hades or Hel to abandon their charges to destroy these troublesome giants. This meant that giants broke through to Rest, and pulled their priests from Purgatory into Rest. Some of them got lost and ended up in the portals to other planets. Including Earth, depending on how wounded they were, they’d become ghosts, poltergeists or zombies when they entered Earth, definitely dead, but not quite still… But could never again return to the land of the dead for Rest. They were condemned to walk the Earth forever.

But because the giants had ordered the dwarves to murder their priests, they killed the last of the dwarves as revenge. This, ignited the terrible curse of Hemir, named after the dwarf priest who invented the curse.

Giants and dwarves, speak the common tongue as their first language, and then the language of their planet as their second. So when the giants enslaved the dwarves they only ever understood half of what was being said.

When the dwarf kings submitted to the giants, they did so in song. That song was the start of a terrible curse. Curses are woven like cloth, and for as long as there was a dwarf to sing it, the curse would not begin. But once the last dwarf died on the land of the giants…

So everyday the dwarves would sing in their common language of the dwarves. The giants never minded it, and so never forbade the dwarves from singing. All the while the dwarves were wreaking destruction on their giant masters.

The dwarf religion was that of blood magic. So everytime a dwarf singer was killed by the giants, the magic would grow stronger. And the dwarves died in their millions in the planet of the giants. First the planets atmosphere was hostile to them, toxic to their lungs and brought infertility. They had to work only at dawn or at dusk, all other times of day would kill them. So the dwarves sang, and they died and the curse grew and grew and grew.

Then the last dwarf, Homir was the last to be executed. He sang all the way to his execution. The giants found it quaint, knowing he was going to Hell, he sang for his soul added one last binding to the curse. Once the giants were destroyed, they would be flung to Earth.

When Homir breathed his last… the destruction of the giants began.

The great dragon from the high temple was made from solid gold. It had taken 3000 years to create with limited dwarf magic in the land of the giants. Each dwarf only able to melt and mould a tiny amount of gold at a time. This took enough exertion from a master craftsmen dwarf to kill him.

The first giant, Hemir, had bid the dwarves fill the great dragon ironically with…water.  For he was a learned dwarf who had visited Earth and seen the power and majesty of the God Poseidon. His curse was to bid Poseidon to be Lord protector over the waters in the great dragon. Because the giants would have suspected if they had filled it with normal water, the dwarves used their tears to fill the great dragon. One tear at a time, harvested from each time a giant whipped a dwarf.

3000 years later, the great dragon, which could be seen from other planets, was filled with dwarf tears and Poseidon had a kingdom on the planet of the giants. He was pleased with this and accepted the dwarf sacrifice. Once the last dwarf was killed, Poseidon extracted a terrible revenge. He cursed the dwarf tears and every giant who would touch the water would sprout boils and diseases unlike anything known to any of the 9 planets. It would be a death slow enough to be torturous, but quick enough that the giants would not know before it overwhelmed them.

The next dwarf to die, was a dwarf called Wadmir. He too had been to Earth, and seen the terrible justice of Amun Ra, and he had begged her to cast a firery arrow into the great dragon to pierce the dragonskin and bring it to life, and also unleash the cursed waters within. He had taken many beatings, and shed many tears and Amun Ra heard his cries and vowed to uphold his bequest.

The third dwarf to die was a dwarf called Quest. He gave his life to allow each subsequent dwarf to pick the final agonies of a particular giant. So whilst Hemir’s curse and Wadmir’s curse would bring destruction of the body. Quests curse would bring agony on the mind. These were called “the final howls.” This he begged Maat for, for the king of the giants had raped his sister to death and he’d heard her final howls until his dying day. Maat, in her supreme justice, gave him his request.

Each dwarf cursed and cursed and cursed until the last dwarf. And when the destruction of the planet of the giants began, it was a terrible. Amun Ra, and his arrow, not satisfied with simply piercing the dragonskin, brought the sun so close to the planet of the giants that all other waters that weren’t cursed by Poseidon boiled and bubbled and ran dry from the heat. Poseidon, not content with the waters being cursed to the touch, brought them over the cities and towns of the planet of the giants, drowning them in their curses. Maat, not content with the curse of the final howls unleashed Hel on the planet of the giants, bringing abject desolation to the planet of the giants. Stealing their souls and sucking their happiness away. Then for the final curse. Their bodies were flung to Earth as per Homir’s behest, where they became stone… they became statues. Frozen where they stood, forever living the final howls.

The moral of the story is maltreatment of any of the beings from the 9 planets is a mortal sin and the Gods are not kind. They will take terrible revenge for the tears of the oppressed are precious indeed.

Angels and Demons.

It is well known that the war between the Angels and demons have been one of the longest running of the 7 wars of conquest. But what started them? Neighbours often rub up badly against each other. But these particular neighbours were always destined to start a war.

Originally, angels and demons were created by Maat not to be 2 races, but to be a sliding scale. They lived originally on the planet Purity at the beginning of time. They were to be the equivalent of the race of men, and look very much like men. Angels are tall and handsome, with wings for the air. Demons too are tall, and handsome, but were built with lungs for the sea. This is a product of evolution, for the planet Purity was a gigantic island, called Pangea, and was surrounded by pure deep blue sea. Those who lived by the sea became demons, and those who lived inland became angels. But why did they split?

Angels and demons went through a period of history, known as “The great rebellion” this was whilst they were all one race. They previously only worshipped Maat and her laws, but they then became prideful and became obsessed with wealth, titles and linage. As well as having pure blood. For the Angelic race, this meant having white hair and blue eyes. For the demonic race, this meant having blue hair and blue eyes. Demons had blue hair because they lived by the sea for the sea, and often travelled by water. Angels had white hair and blue eyes because they lived in the air like birds and this camouflaged them with the sky. Both were created to be the messenger race for Maat, to do her bidding and be her first worshipers. But during “the great rebellion” physical features became prized and the race did not know that this was the harbringer of personality traights too.

For angels. The physical traits prized were wingspan, which could be retracted at will and hair colour. The purer white, with no tinge of blue, the better.

For demons this was the deeper blue hair and finspan which could be retracted at will.

What neither side appreciated was that the bluer the hair, the more prone to extroversion. The whiter the hair the more prone to introversion.

The great rebellion started in 871 when a King of a sea kingdom pledged his only son, Matt (named for the goddess) to a daughter of landlocked king Justice. Matt had electric blue hair and was beloved of women throughout the globe. Meanwhile the beautiful Justice, was born with hair of the purest white snow, and the only man to have ever met her before her wedding day was her own father, such was her shyness.

The wedding was to forge an eternal peace between those of different hair colours, for their children, it was predicted would be welcome on both air and sea and have sky blue hair. Thus maintaining the peace on the planet Purity.

Matt’s beauty was legendary amongst all the planets. And he had found a suitor in the form of Hel. Who traded hostages from the planet of knowledge in Hell, to gain access to dark magic to disguise herself as whatever Matt desired most at that moment in a woman.

So on his wedding day, she sent a kitchen maid to tell him that the ceremony had been moved up by 1 hour to the hour of the Raven, and that he was to go to the great temple to marry. Which he did.

In Purity, Marriage is for life and there was no concept of divorce. So when Matt married the disguised Hel, she immediately revealed her true nature and devoured him whole, sending him to her kingdom and bypassing Maat.

Maat was furious, and cursed Hel to never again have leave to go to any other planet other than the planet of the dead.

Justice, when she found out her intended had not only been married off to another woman but had also descended to Hell, poisoned herself with her own wedding cake to go and join him. Maat gave her leave to bypass Rest for a while and go and find him in Hell. When she found him she begged him to come with her to Rest. But he refused her. She screamed so loudly in agony her Father heard her. Thinking she’d been defiled in Hell, he waged war on his neighbour. Thus starting the great Rebellion. With both angels and demons breeding exclusively with their own kind for millennia, exaggerating their differences. Her father was so vexed at the idea of his daughter being defiled, he walked to the centre of his enemies land, cut out his own heart and drained it of all blood whilst it still beat. His sacrifice was so great it tore the land from the seas, and from then on, angels resided in the air and the land on the planet of the angels. Meanwhile demons resided in the seas on the planet of the demons.

Thus started a war that would run until almost the end of time.

The war created many battles, skirmishes and was blessed and cursed by the gods. Eventually it ended when a star tripped one day doing her heavenly dance. For stars are children of the Goddess Serena Luna, and every day they dance in a heavenly troupe across the universe. This star’s name was Astrid, for she lived on the asteroid belt. Stars, like angels are white of hair and blue of eye, but have no wings, they glow from within. They fall but once a millennia if ever in their lifetime and are always granted safe passage home for they are the daughters and sons of Chaos, and the nieces of Nyx, Goddess of the abyss. No man, nor beast would dare anger either of these deities. But Astrid was particularly beautiful, close to her mother Serena Luna, and had been mistaken for an angel… but she fell into the city of Pandemonium, (all the demons) in the middle of the demonic offerings for a battle set for the next day. When she fell, she was taken to a demon temple, to be sacrificed to the Warrior. For the demons had stopped worshipping Maat, and started worshipping the Seven Gods and Goddesses, Mother, Father, Smith, Warrior, Stranger, Maiden, Crone.

Demons have no priests, and so the job of accepting the sacrifice was made by the crown prince, Blue. He took one look at Astrid, and knew she was no Angelic being, he did not know what or who she was, but dared not slay her for fear of angering the Gods.

But Astrid’s mother had noticed she was missing. Demons lived in a land filled with water, an eternal sea. Serena Luna scoured the entire universe looking for her daughter. When she sensed her presence on the planet of the demons, she used her powers of the  moon to part the seas of the kingdom to reveal her daughter. Before she could say or do anything, Astrid’s father, Chaos, froze the land in time and space, believing that his daughter had fallen into dishonour.

The only person who could think or speak or move was the high priest…the crown prince Blue. He abandoned his gods and appealed directly to Maat, and Serena Luna. To the divine mother he swore he had not harmed nor dishonoured the daughter of the Moon. To the eternal justice he offered up his heart as proof. Maat tested the heart and found it to be pure. Serena was not satisfied, and demanded that there be a marriage of Astrid and Blue for the sake of her honour. She also demanded that as a dowry, the man would give his new bride both the planet of the demons and the planet of the angels as her bride price. Blue begged saying he did not own the planet of the angels, to give. So Serena used the tides controlled by the moon to have the 2 planets collide forcefully, whilst Chaos used this as an opportunity to unite the planets. The Angels, shocked and surprised, bowed down in holy reverence to Serena Luna, who declared her daughter their new ruler.

Thus when the marriage between Astrid and Blue was announced, it was met with much relief and joy across the 9, (now 8) planets. For it brought to an end the Eternal wars. Serena Luna brought the rest of the planets into alignment to witness the ceremony, let no man deny knowledge of her triumph. It had been named the Eternal wars as it had gone on for so long no one remembered how it had started, not how to fix it and it was commonly believed it would last to the end of time. The children of Astrid and Blue had sky blue hair and blue eyes, they were welcome in the sea and in the air and brought eternal peace to the newly formed planet.  Their line was forever known as the Azure Blues.
